Intern Job Description
Job Title: Summit Art Marketing Intern
Location: One position for Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Stipend: Unpaid Internship
Dates of Positions: Flexible
Time Commitment: 3 months minimum – 6 months maximum
Hours: 12-15 hours per week.
Typically 3 days per week. Schedule negotiable.
Supervisor: Teresa Keene, Director of GOT Art Gallery on Third and Ashley Corbello, VP of Marketing for Summit Art
Organization: Summit Art is the presenting organization for Got Art Gallery & Summit Art Festival
Duties:
• Report to work on time
• Gather seasonal media & demographic research
• Help develop and implement marketing plan
• Develop press releases as needed
• Work on development & execution of print, radio and television ads through various media outlets
• Design, edit & create postcards and other marketing collateral
• Assist with development of social network sites and website maintenance
• Assist with shows in various capacities
• Customer service at Got Art Gallery, office of Summit Art
• Assist with and perform any other duties as needed or assigned by the VP of Marketing or Gallery Director

Qualifications:
• An interest in art
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
• Computer experience. (Graphic Design experience a plus)
• Well developed organization skills with a solid orientation to detail
• A self-starter with a strong desire to learn
• Must enjoy working with diverse groups of people
• Good written and verbal skills
• Must have own transportation
Program Eligibility & Submission:
• Students interested in the field of marketing/communications/art
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
• Beneficial, but not necessary: some web design/graphic design background (pc format/in design or Photoshop)
• Must enjoy working with public sector
• Complete application
• Two letters of recommendation
• One-page essay about what student hopes to gain from internship
• Submission of requirements for internship completion/credit
• Interview with Art Director & Marketing Director
• Access to computer
