Alex is a visual arts cheerleader, encouraging his fellow artists to take their studio work outside. For the past three years, he has served as the director for the Brush Creek Art Walk, one of Kansas City’s largest annual outdoor painting competitions, held annually in mid-September.
A lifelong Kansas City resident, Alex is a former instructor in digital technology, humanities and the visual arts, and currently works at Dimensional Innovations in Lenexa, Kansas. Alex’ studio practice includes watercolor, oil and 3D media. Alex has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kansas University and a Master of Humanities from Rockhurst.
