Our mission as a juried nonprofit organization is a commitment to providing exhibition opportunities, professional development and mentoring within Lee’s Summit and the surrounding communities and engaging the public through the support and creation of art.
Our vision is to create an environment for visual artists in which they can exhibit, sell, learn, interact with peers, build inner confidence and add value to business and community.
Our values are to respect and encourage an appreciation for art in an ethical and courteous manner

All Summit Art sponsored events and activities take place solely through the volunteer efforts of our artist membership. We have volunteer opportunities for officers, committees, special projects and during the Summit Art Festival.
Monthly business meetings are held in a conference room at Saint Luke’s East Hospital, on the second Monday of each month. Meetings typically start at 6:15 with a 15-minute “networking” time, followed by a meeting and a guest speaker. A Christmas party, including spouses, is held in lieu of our December meeting. Prospective members are encouraged to attend a monthly meeting as a guest to learn more about Summit Art.
