Featured Exhibitions at the Summit Art Plein Air Festival 2022

Fine Art Photography

A very special exhibition by local photographers will be featured at the Art Show and Sale on Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10, at the 2022 Summit Art Plein Air Festival. Photographers will exhibit fine art captures from both Crestview Dairy and the downtown Lee’s Summit areas. Patrons will be happy to see some of their favorite local downtown spots showcased in this fine art photography exhibit!

If you are a member of Summit Art Photographers & Friends, you may register for the Fine Art Photography Exhibit. The fee is $35, non-refundable. To receive the registration form and instructions, please contact Tom Mallot.

Participating photographers will compete for these cash awards:

  • FIRST PLACE – $200
  • SECOND PLACE – $100
  • THIRD PLACE – $50

Doug Bennett – Sports Artist

Doug’s amazing artwork features local sports figures and teams. Since the beginning of his career, he has received over 60 regional and national awards for oil painting and pastel work. Patrons will enjoy watching Doug paint live at the Summit Art Plein Air Festival, Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10. Everyone will want one of Doug’s artworks in their sports rooms and man caves!

Nancy Mathis Caricature

Stop by Nancy Mathis’ booth at the Summit Art Plein Air Festival on Sunday, April 10, 2022, for a fun time getting a unique caricature drawn! Nancy is a Summit Art Juried Artist and owns Sunshine Art by Nancy. According to Nancy, “It is fun watching someone laugh and smile at their caricature. I love making artwork that creates emotion and good feelings.”
