Summit Art hosts the Summit Art Fine Art Forum every month, and it is a wonderful opportunity for artists in all mediums to network, share their recent works, learn new techniques and receive constructive critique. You don’t have to be a member of Summit Art to participate, as all artists and art lovers are welcome! This group usually meets on the first Saturday of every month (unless it’s a holiday, then the second Saturday) from 10am to noon, virtually on Zoom for now, until the pandemic situation allows us to reconvene at our regular meeting place, Saint Luke’s East Hospital, 3rd floor Legacy Room. Please join us prepared to share one or two pieces of your art to share with the group. They can be recently finished works, or works in progress. Or, join us and just listen in for a very enjoyable conversation about ALL THINGS ART! Anyone interested please contact Teddy Jackson.
Summit Art hosts a monthly group critique for area photographers. You don’t have to be a member of Summit Art to attend, as all area photographers and their friends are welcome! All photographers are encouraged to attend the monthly Summit Art Photographers and Friends group critique sessions held on the 4th Thursday of every month at BridgeSpace (old Post Office in downtown Lee’s Summit). Our group helps you improve your image capture and post-processing through constructive critique and mentoring of both your work and that of others.
Cost is $5.00 per person (new attendees = first two sessions are free!) Please bring a maximum of two matted photograph images to share. Light snacks and drinks (including wine) provided by attendees. Doors open at 6pm for socializing. Session begins at 6:45pm. Critique starts at 7pm. Wear face mask, try to comply with 6′ social distancing, do not share food/drinks. Hand sanitizer will be available. Anyone interested please contact Tom Mallot.
“Summit Art has been an amazing community for me to explore and grow as an artist. It is exciting to be a part of such a diverse and passionate group of artists. I only wish I had found them sooner.”
