Summit Art monthly membership meetings are held the second Monday of the month at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. As a rule our meetings begin at 6:15 pm with networking among members until 6:30 pm when the meeting officially comes to order. Normally a guest speaker will give a presentation starting at 7 pm until the close of the meeting at 8:30 pm. We encourage guests and prospective members to attend our informative monthly membership meetings to learn more about Summit Art.
Contact Summit Art for more information.
This meeting takes place the 1st Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Hastings Conference Room (1st Floor) at Saint Luke’s East Hospital. Everyone should bring artwork to show and discuss and offer friendly critique and suggestions. Light refreshments will be served. After our discussion we will spend the rest of our time drawing each other (clothed of course). It is a lot of fun. Come join us.
Email Phil Schmidt for more information.
Monthly meetings are held at Got Art Gallery on the 4th Thursday of the month starting with a gathering at 6:30 p.m. and the critique starting at 7:00 p.m. One of the best ways for any artist to grow and find ways to make their images better and raise the quality of their finished works is to participate in critiques. For over six years now Summit Art Photographers & Friends have been meeting once a month in a social setting as a joint critique with each photographers submitting images for all present to view and offer suggestions as to image capture, post processing, and presentation. Summit Art members and the general public are welcomed to attend.

The Summit Art Festival is October 12-14, 2018, and we are very busy making plans for this to be our biggest and best event yet!
Our festival Director, Jody Fristoe would like to begin putting together a group of volunteers to be a part of our Hospitality Committee for the festival. This committee is a vital part of the festival as it showcases our dedication to the artists who exhibit at the event. It is our hospitality volunteers who help make sure all exhibiting artists feel welcome! Mark your calendars: the first Hospitality Committee meeting is Thursday, April 12th at 3pm at GOT Art Gallery on Third. All are welcomed!
