I studied art at Ohio University, moved to the Kansas City area and received a BA in Art from UMKC. Later I received an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and worked as a veterinary technician until I realized this is a field for someone without fear. I returned to painting and drawing, which is a lot easier than vaccinating a feral cat. Along the way, I have done some volunteering, including Girl Scouts, Summit Art, Lee’s Summit Arts Council and Saint Luke’s East Hospital. I have won some awards and have had some solo shows, most recently at the Longview Gallery on the Longview Community College campus. One of my drawings, Isabel, is included in Strokes of Genius, vol. 6 (page 13, by the way).
