Marla Blevins

I have been enjoying creative endeavors since childhood. I earned a BFA in art and received the Portfolio Award for outstanding graduating artist. Over the years, I have experimented with many different mediums, most recently focusing on soft pastel. I’m intrigued by the way colors subtly hide in shadows and reflections, so I look for ways to urge them out of hiding and honor the part they play in bringing a scene to life. It sometimes surprises me what captures my heart and inspires me. It can be a cedar tree peeking through a patch of fog or a pile of old rusty cans.
