I create very bold, colorful, and lively paintings on canvas using different tools and effects. I like to convey a sense of fun, fantasy, and happiness in my work. If I had to label my style, I would describe it as Abstract Expressionism or Impressionism. I’m inspired by all things, but mostly nature. I usually paint landscapes, cityscapes, and botanicals.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember! My Father was a Fine Artist and my mentor. Art has always been a part of my life and identity. I studied art in high school and graduated from Joe Herndon Vocational School earning a certificate in Graphic Design. While I was attending college, I worked as a Faux Finisher and Muralist. In 2008, I earned my degree in Radiography and I’ve been working in healthcare for the last 14 years. At the beginning of the pandemic, I rediscovered my passion and started painting again!
My paintings are very bold, colorful, and lively! I use different tools and effects to create texture and interest. My choice of medium is acrylics. I love how versatile and easy it is to work with! I like to convey a sense of fun, fantasy, and happiness in my work. If I had to label my style, I would describe it as Abstract Expressionism or Impressionism. I’m inspired by all things, but mostly by nature. I usually paint landscapes, cityscapes, and botanicals.
I’ve had some success selling my art using social media and word of mouth. Currently, I’m working on two commissioned pieces.
