Summit Art Exhibits at Headquarters

Area Artists!

Summit Art has partnered with Headquarters Winery & Mercantile to provide monthly featured artist exhibits including a “Meet the Artist” reception. Each month, Summit Art will select an artist to hang their artwork in the Summit Art Gallery at Headquarters.

Headquarters is a craft winery & event space nestled on the Historic Harrisonville Square in a 132 year old building. Headquarters is blue family owned and operated.

Details:

  • Set-up is the 1st Sunday each month 2-5pm.
  • Take-down is the 1st Sunday of each month noon-2pm.
  • Any unclaimed artworks become the property of Summit Art if not picked up on the 1st Sunday of each month, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
  • All images uploaded to the application may be used for promotional purposes.
  • Hanging system is cable wire with hooks; all artworks must be wired for gallery hanging.
  • Gallery space includes wall on the main level plus the stairway from the main level up to The Mercantile.
  • Available space on wall in main level is approximately 12′ linear feet, including 4 hanging wires.
  • Available space on stairwell is approximately 20′ linear feet, including 7 hanging wires.
  • There are 8 total hanging wires; each wire will hold 1 or 2 artworks, depending on size.
  • Maximum weight for each hanging wire is 25 lbs.
  • “Meet the Artist” is the 2nd Thursday evening of each month (5pm to 8pm) and includes free appetizers and drink specials.
  • This is a juried show; artists must submit online application.
  • Headquarters will handle all sales transactions.
  • Artists receive 70% of total art sales; Headquarters will pay artists directly.
  • Summit Art will receive 15% of total art sales as a fee for service.
  • Headquarters will retain 15% of total art sales.
  • Headquarters and Summit Art will promote the exhibit and Meet the Artist night with food/drink specials on social media and promotional materials as a monthly event.
  • The Featured Artist of the Month is expected to help promote the show on their own social platforms and other promotional materials.

Application Fees:

(non-refundable & non-transferable)

$10 for all current Summit Art members

(members at all levels are eligible)

$40 for non-members

If you are not yet a member of Summit Art, your $40 application fee comes with a FREE general membership through the end of 2023, renewable in January each year.

All interested artists must complete an application. Please be prepared to upload five images, a proposed title/theme for your show, a short description of your artwork, and your artist bio and/or statement.
