Art Scholarships
Supporting gifted high school art students.
Do you know a high school senior entering college to pursue a degree in visual art?
Summit Art proudly awards one-time scholarships of $500 to exceptionally gifted Lee’s Summit high school graduates who will major in an art-related field in college.
The Summit Art Scholarship Program has awarded over $40,000 to local visual art students since its inception.
A portion of proceeds from Summit Art activities and events help support the scholarship program.
Deadline to apply: March 31, 2026, 11:59 pm.
Application & Selection
Eligibility
Students who meet the following eligibility criteria may apply for a Summit Art Scholarship.
Be a high school senior graduating from any public or private school in Lee’s Summit (in-school or virtual), a homeschool program, or any alternative education program.
Pursuing continuing secondary education in the field of visual art in the semester immediately following high school graduation.
Be officially accepted to an accredited four-year college, university, or vocational school.
Submit a completed Summit Art Scholarship Application that includes artwork portfolio slides, letters of recommendation, and official transcripts.
Deadline
Application materials, including letters of recommendation and transcripts, must be submitted via email to Summit Art on March 31, 2026 by 11:59 pm. Late submissions will not be reviewed. Submitted applications cannot be edited or revised.

Letters of Recommendation (1-3)
Artist Statement
Slide presentation of artwork portfolio consisting of 7 works of art, one image per slide, saved as a single PDF.
Official, unopened transcripts mailed or emailed from the school to Summit Art and received by the application deadline. Please plan ahead.
