You Are Invited

The Summit Art Member Art Show brings talented artists and fine craftsmen together with people who appreciate and support their creative work. This indoor event is open exclusively to Summit Art member artists and fine craftsmen. Membership is the only requirement to participate.

Important Dates and Fees

  • Application Deadline: September 12, 2026

  • Show Fee: $60, non-refundable. Each artist will receive a 10' x 10' display area. Artists must provide their own setup. Options to rent panels is available at the time of registration.

Application

Apply early to guarantee your spot. Applications received after the deadline will continue to be accepted until the show is full.

Application Images

Applicants must submit two digital images representative of their current work with the online application. Images should accurately represent the type of artwork or fine craft the artist intends to display.

CHECKIN, SETUP, RECEPTION
Saturday, October 10, 2026

Check-In and Setup: 3:00-5:00 PM

Artists must check in and complete all setup by 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, artists should check in with the event volunteer. They will then be directed to their assigned space and receive a name badge. After checking in, exhibitors may drive to the designated loading area to unload artwork and display materials. Vehicles must be moved to public parking immediately after unloading.

All artwork, tables, panels, and displays must be completely arranged and ready for visitors by 5:00 PM.

Artist Reception & Sale: 5:00-7:00 PM

Artists are expected to have their displays ready and be available to welcome guests when the reception begins at 5:00 PM.

Overnight Security

Artwork and displays will remain in place overnight for Sunday's show. Green Street will be locked, and security will be on site beginning at 7:00 PM. No admittance will be permitted while security is on site.

Artists should take reasonable precautions to protect valuable artwork and personal property.

SHOW & SALE
Sunday, October 11, 2026 | 11:00 AM-6:00 PM

Artists should arrive at their assigned spaces before the show opens at 11:00 AM. There will be no check-in or unloading on Sunday.

Artists must remain in their assigned spaces throughout the show. If an artist cannot be present, they must arrange for a helper to attend and take responsibility for the space.

Space Assignments and Displays

Each artist will receive a 10' x 10' display area. The show coordinator will assign locations based on available room, artwork, display needs, and the overall flow of the event.

Artists may not select, exchange, or move to another space without prior approval from the event coordinator.

Artist-Provided Display Materials

Each artist is responsible for providing:

  • Display panels and panel coverings

  • Hooks for hanging artwork

  • Tables and table coverings

  • Additional fixtures needed to display the work

Additional fixtures are permitted if they fit safely and attractively within the assigned space.

Display Panels for Purchase

Artists who do not have display panels may purchase them from Summit Art on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests should be made during registration. No more than 3 panels can be reserve by any artist.

  • Panel Prices:  1 panel: $10.00, 3 panels: $25.00

Artists renting panels must provide their own panel coverings.

Display Standards

Displays must be neat, attractive, organized, and professional.

  • Tables must be covered to the floor.

  • Panel coverings must be clean and professionally presented.

  • Artwork should be arranged for easy viewing.

  • Display materials must remain safely within the assigned 10' x 10' space.

Artists are encouraged to create an inviting display that reflects the quality and character of their work.

Artwork must be “family-friendly” and appropriate for public viewing by people of all ages. No nudes or obscene content permitted.

Artwork Requirements

All artwork offered for sale must be the original work of the exhibiting artist or craftsman. Prints and reproductions of an artist's original work are permitted.

SALES

There is no commission on sales. Artists keep 100% of their sales.

Each artist is responsible for:

  • Handling sales and payments

  • Providing a method of accepting payment

  • Collecting and reporting applicable sales tax

  • Providing receipts when appropriate

Summit Art Sales Assistance

Summit Art will process sales for artists who do not have their own payment-processing account. A 7% administrative fee will be added to sales processed by Summit Art.

Storage for Boxes and Carts

Empty boxes, packing materials, carts, and other setup items may be stored under tables and out of sight. Items that cannot be stored discreetly must be returned to the artist's vehicle.

BREAKDOWN
Sunday, October 11, 2026 | 6:00-7:30 PM

Artists may begin breaking down displays at 6:00 PM. All artwork, display materials, boxes, and personal items must be removed from Green Street by 7:30 PM.

Artists must leave their assigned areas clean and free of trash and packing materials.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Parking and Loading

Vehicles must be moved to public parking immediately after unloading.

Free exhibitor parking is available in the designated lot accessible from Johnson Street, behind the market, as shown on the event map. Additional parking is available in the Green Street/City Hall parking structure.

Artists may return to the loading area during breakdown as directed by event volunteers.

Electricity

Electricity is very limited and cannot be guaranteed. Artists should plan displays accordingly and should not rely on electrical access unless it has been approved in advance.

Weather

The Summit Art Member Art Show is an indoor event.

Cancellation

The $60 show fee is non-refundable if an artist cancels or is unable to participate. Canceled registrations will become a donation to Summit Art to support the execution of the event. Member will receive a tax receipt for their records.

If Summit Art must cancel the event because of circumstances beyond its control, participating artists will be notified by email regarding the cancellation and any applicable refund.

Although the building will be locked and secured overnight, artists should take reasonable precautions to protect artwork and valuable personal property.

Correspondence

All show correspondence will be sent by email. Applicants must provide a valid email address and phone number and check their email regularly for important information and updates.
